Acqua di Parma appoints Laura Burdese as CEO

Laura Burdese takes over from Gabriella Scarpa

Italian lifestyle company Acqua di Parma, owned by LVMH, has announced the appointment of Laura Burdese as CEO, effective 17 October.

Burdese will report to LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics Division Chairman & CEO Chris de Lapuente. She replaces Gabriella Scarpa who will continue in her other role as Chairman of LVMH Italy.

Burdese, who obtained a degree in International Economics and a Masters in Marketing, began her career in the beauty industry with brand management roles at Beiersdorf and L’Oréal.

In 1999, Burdese joined Swatch Group, where she held different positions of increasing responsibility before being named Country Manager/Managing Director of Swatch Group Italy in 2006. In 2012, Burdese assumed the additional role of President and CEO of Calvin Klein Watches and Jewelry Co Ltd.
