UAE. Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) has launched the “˜Sensational Big Ticket Draw’, a raffle promotion it claims is the Middle East’s biggest ever monthly draw by value. The promotion will run throughout July and offers a grand prize of US$1 million, complemented by 14 more cash prizes totalling US$200,000. The draw will be held on 5 August in Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal 1.
Tickets for the draw, managed by ADDF partner DFS, are priced at AED500 (US$136), with a “˜buy two get one free’ offer running throughout the promotion. Tickets can be bought online at www.bigticket.ae, at the Abu Dhabi International Airport website, and at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain Duty Free, Ghweifat Duty Free, Abu Dhabi City Terminal and ADNEC Expo Check-in.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) Senior Vice President Commercial Dan Cappell commented: “Abu Dhabi Duty Free is delighted to be collaborating with DFS on this incredible initiative, as it becomes the region’s highest ever value prize draw over the period of one month. This gives ADDF a unique point of difference as ticket sales will close after one month of sales only, thereby increasing the chances for one of our customers to walk away with one million dollars in only 31 days’ time. The special edition of the big ticket draw offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for the residents of the UAE and travellers through the airport.”
The Sensational Big Ticket Draw is a special version of ADDF’s long-running monthly Big Ticket Draw, in which customers get the chance to win a grand prize of AED1 million (US$272,322) and 14 others totalling AED500,000. An earlier special version of the draw was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Abu Dhabi International Airport, with 1kg of gold, a Porsche Cayenne and AED1 million up for grabs.
